Learning From Others
Hi, I do hope you are enjoying these short lessons. Today I thought I’d pass on a few things I’ve learned when dealing with emotions. I mentioned in a previous lesson about how Reiki teaches personal responsibility.
How many times have we allowed someone else to ruin an otherwise perfectly, lovely day? Truth of the matter is no one else ever ruins our days. We simply allow ourselves to become out of balance. But how, you ask, do you deal with “difficult” people?
Well, first I think of that saying, “walk a mile in their shoes”. Empathy. Try to imagine what that person has or is, going through, to cause them to react in the way they are. If you can imagine what they are feeling, it is much easier for you to, not take things so personally, to be forgiving, and to even send compassion one’s way.
You can also take heed of what is going on that is “upsetting to you”.
Is it that someone is being abusive towards you? If so, you can take this as a lesson in learning to have more self respect and in standing up for yourself. Is it someone moving too slowly for you? This could mean you need to look at learning to be more patient. Maybe you are, having to deal with someone who always seems to be angry at everything. If so, this can be a lesson to, looking into areas of your life where maybe you could be more forgiving. Or, maybe a lesson to make sure you enjoy every moment. While dealing with people who are afraid and full of fear, this could be your wake up call to be more courageous.
So as you can see, we can learn from every single experience we ever go through. With this in mind and learning to live in this manner, all of life becomes much easier.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these lessons and to become an empowered Reiki Master yourself visit here and be on your way!
